I agree, some introverts may not be able to handle extroverted workers, but as you stated, it is possible for the introvert leader to learn and grow as a leader and perhaps use his or her learning experience to transition to an extrovert leader position. Maybe in a unit that emphasizes stick discipline in rank, the extroverted follower may be less likely to override the introvert leader.
