Extreme Ab Workout

Decent Essays
Today was my scheduled day off meaning no workouts. But I could not resist at least doing some abs. I used to hate abs (because I had none and struggled with them), but now that I am putting effort into them I want to do them all the time! The extreme ab workout I did WAS extreme and I will feel it tomorrow.

The best part about abs though is not the definition, but actually having less back troubles. I have always struggled with back issues, but the better my core becomes, the less my back hurts! Your core is your power house so give it some love too!

After losing my job I was very stressed out and unhappy. This has given me the motivation and opportunity to get back in shape and relieve my stress in the most positive ways possible. Losing my job was probably for the best thing for me seeing as the job disrupted my circadian rhythm, allowed me to get no exercise and it demanded that I sit stationary at a desk for eight hours a day. I used to listen to a lot of podcasts at work and now I look forward to working out so that I can listen to those same podcast that I love so much.…

It was July 4, 2016, when being skinny was not enough, I wanted a body that was lean with noticeable muscle definition and shape. That’s when Barbell Republic Strength and Conditioning opened their CrossFit gym aiming to improve speed, power, strength, endurance, and flexibility through various exercises. I have always been a competitive athlete, started in junior high and continues today. CrossFit provided a distinctly aggressive and competitive atmosphere that fulfilled my want to continue to compete against other athletes. On April 8th, 2017, my friend Stephanie and I competed in a local charity and won the Cross Fit challenge in Las Vegas.…

I am a very lazy person, and I tend to only do what I want to during any free time I have, ruling out any possibilities of exercising. I was able to exercise off and on, but the instances were so oddly spread apart that I doubt it would have had any noticeable, lasting effect. The times when I actually did work out, my legs and arms were so sore that I did not feel like ever exercising again. Motivation was definitely my biggest challenge, and I still struggle with it even now. I wish that I would have been able to keep a consistent food log, but even that was hard to manage.…
