I am a prek teacher and with it, I like to do things "my way". I have an assistant and I take in her thoughts and opinions about a certain topic, but I feel I know how each and every child learns so I make her ideas fit their learning style. I like to do things fast-paces and it is difficult at times for my assistant to keep up. After reading about the way I learn and finding out the kind of learner I am, I find it satisfying to know that I might clash with others while finishing a project, assignment, or even just daily planning just by how we learn. Therefore, since I now have a reason for it, I can fix it before it gets out of control.…
After we discussed both personality assessments in class, I realized that there is no right or wrong personality. People value same thing differently as they have different personalities. According to “True Colors” and “Myers-Briggs”, I am more organized and outspoken. I follow rules and time, and most of the time, I am prepared to do things.…
Others the results were right on target and the test described me very accurately. As I mentioned I am a reserved person that I select when I will allow myself to be the center of attention and be part of the spotlight. As a result, I have concluded that I am a very passive person where I tend to stay on the sidelines and observe what might be going on. I was shocked the type of profession would best suit me. All though I have chosen a very different profession.…
Reflection Outline Knowledge/Skills gained Before entering into this interdisciplinary course, I had very little knowledge and skills about how teams move forward together working to solve a case. I did not know how many professionals were involved in just one case. Depending on the case, the different professionals could range from psychologists, mental health counselors, vocational rehabilitation counselors, services of the Deaf counselors, interpreters, school counselors, nurses, case manager, social workers, marriage and family counselors, and the client's family. The definition of team described from Kaplan, "a number of individual staff members, each of whom possesses with one another for a common purpose"(Kaplan, pg. 522). Different…
Claudia Smith A3F Competence Paper I never realized our the importance pf how I engage within my work environments and a grouo until I tool this class. I have been operating on the defense and blaming people from not seeing things through my lense. Years of working with families and children as well as team groupo settings had added a level of stress to me that is insane. I would always wonder why arer people doing certain things are choosing to express themsleves in certain ways.…
My results from the 16 personalities quiz were the commander code ENTJ-T with a role of analyst and social engagement strategy. This self-assessment was spot on it was a tad scary; Extraverted I enjoy social interaction and being in slightly intimidating situations. Intuitive seeing as I love to learn about other people's perspective on things because my ideas aren’t necessarily the only or best ones out there. I enjoy creating hypothetical situations and sometimes just wonder... Thinking, the majority of the time I think more with my mind instead of my heart because sometimes that’s just a lot more practical and most times has better outcomes (in my opinion).…
Professional Growth Plan Introduction Strategically managing your carer can be summed up as: recognizing strengths and weaknesses, reflecting on how you can overcome weaknesses, setting a plan of action that includes the goal and completion date. The importance of strategically managing your career is the essence of understanding who you are, how you work and learn and where you need improvements or changes. Attempting to plan a career, set goals, accomplish goals, evaluate progress and create new goals based on your findings is the core to having an enriching and fulfilling work life balance. If you do not understand all of these things, then you are just going through the motions of a daily grind and will most likely be unhappy with your…
My personality type was ESFP or in other words performer. Before I read what a performer was I thought this test is completely wrong I’ve never been a performer in my life. Then I started to read what it said and who was considered a performer. A performer is very extroverted, and I tested 60% in the category and it was my highest overall. This does make sense to me because I like to have discussions (as you’ve probably seen in class).…
I believe the best way I learn is through visual learning. I have always retained information very well when it was placed in front of me. Additionally, I think I have a solid capability of understanding the material when the teacher provides a visual display. I believe visual learning is why mathematics is the subject I excel the most in. In mathematics, the majority of problems become increasing more comprehensible for me after seeing the problem worked out on the board.…
I’m sure you’re wondering why my title is declaring that I’m an ISFP and not an INTJ since many tests I’ve taken so far through the years have confirmed that I’m an ISFP, but for the first time ever did I get INTJ which I think I can explain why. I’m almost 39 and have through the years unknowingly work on what we are learning as emotional intelligence through changing various aspects of my personality traits that I and others have considered as negative. I think because I have been studying math and doing math homework all day I have actually slightly tipped myself to the INTJ scale with Humanmetrics Jung Typology giving me Introvert (41%), iNtuitive (3%), Thinking (1%) and Judging (9%) which as you can see besides Introvert scoring so high,…
The company I chose for my workplace is FedEx. I chose FedEx because it’s a big company where I would like to work. After seeing the video about FedEx, FedEx is a company where I wouldn’t mind being my ideal workplace. If there are nice people. The environment and the constant active work is what I like to see in the workplace and work I defiantly word like to do especially if office administration doesn’t work out for me.…
My leadership philosophy is one that is rooted in the strong belief that it must be a continuous quest to motivate all students to become critical thinkers, effective communicators, and lifelong learners, while possessing outstanding character. This includes assisting students with discovering their talents and interests, therefore developing a love of learning, while developing into ethical, productive citizens. Accomplishing this requires a leader who is knowledgeable in pedagogy and curriculum, including the use of data and current assessments to enhance instruction, and who possesses outstanding communication skills, the ability to manage an operation’s resources effectively, promotes collaboration and teamwork, and is passionate and committed to helping students learn. I believe that my interpersonal skills will be my biggest strength as an educational leader. Through frequent, honest communication, and my enthusiasm for the subject, I will demonstrate understanding and compassion for those around me, therefore building trusting relationships.…
Based on my test scores my top three personalities are agreeableness, openness to experience, and conscientiousness. Openness to experience and conscientiousness were tied for second place. My openness to experiences allows me to be broad-minded and insightful. This personality trait is good for a work position that are always changing and no day is the same as the last. This describes my current work place.…
As a leader, I feel I work for my group members and it is my part to help them in making their progress and objectives. I generally attempt to set a decent illustration for all those who are associated with me. Respect is the factor through which I think I can involve my group members to work and achieve their goals. I usually permit others to have their say whether I concur with it or not. I believe in showing integrity.…
