Extraversion is one of the five factors that are discussed and analyzed using the Five Factor Model, otherwise known as The Big Five (McCrae & John, 1992). “The five-factor model of personality is a hierarchical organization of personality traits in terms of five basic dimensions: Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Neuroticism, and Openness to Experience” (McCrae & John, 1992). Because of its connection to the Five Factor Model, extraversion and its counterpart, introversion, have been studied for many years.
