Extra Curricular Activities: Community High School

Extracurricular Activities ONLY 20! Community High School allows their students to have only twenty days off that can be contributed to extracurricular activities. Once all of the twenty days have been used up then they can no longer participate in extracurricular activities that require them to leave school early or stay overnight anywhere. This is a huge problem in a lot of schools it is taking away from a chance for students to give back to their community and learn lifelong lessons. Community High School has over thirty five organizations that students are allowed to be apart of. The teachers and principals start the year off my promoting all different organizations and students get involved in many organizations that seem to benefit them or best suit them. The students begin to get very active in each organizations, some students are in eight to ten organizations, the students pay the dues and get one four of the way finished with the school year and have only two extracurricular activities. The teachers and principals never made it a point to allow students to know that they only have twenty days to use for extracurricular activities they just wanted students to join. It allows students to find what they are truly interested in. Students also learn a great deal of life lessons through organizations. The ability to join extracurricular activities is a privilege. All students will be required to maintain a minimum grade point average to be eligible to participate in sports or any extracurricular activity. Different organizations have different benefits, students can improve their leadership, communication, and management skills.
