I remembering going through the extra credit folder a couple of months ago, and I saw the different ways you can earn some extra credit. It took me by surprised that all was community service. Volunteering is a way that people can help other each. Not only are you helping the community, but also doing something that will boost your grade up.

During the semester, I had personal inconveniences that forced me to miss two days of class. To be honest, I never planned to do extra credit, because I was going to try to do everything right, however I was not counting with sickness or family emergencies. Meanwhile, I thought about bringing my mom with me. She is always at home, so it will be nice to do something different. I asked her and she loved the idea. Earlier in the morning of the day that went volunteering, we woke up around 6:00 am to be there on time and avoid all traffic. My mom was in the same group as I was so that was really good. Another staff member came in and told us that we are going to be volunteering at the emergency pantry. The emergency pantry is like a grocery store where people who have a job and regular income but they don’t have much money for food get to do their shopping. I thought that it was amazing how that works. We were supposed to put the products on shelfs and make sure they look good. Since I work in a supermarket, I already knew exactly how it will go, however it was different. I like to stock up in a way where if it is the same brand they go together. The other volunteers just put things where ever. It was the day that I realized that I have a minor ODC
