Have you ever wondered what a California Grizzly looks like? Did you know it has been extinct since 1924? There are so many animals becoming extinct in the state of California and not many people even know about it. Abalone, southern sea otters, and California condors are just a few that are on the brink of extinction and need or have had our help to restore their population. If we lose these types of animals and more, we could harm our ecosystem and the everyday lifestyle so many Californians are used to.
Extinction and endangerment are very similar definition wise. A species being extinct is to “no longer [be] in existence [or a species] that has ended or died out” and a species in endangerment is being “threatened with extinction” or having
