External Professionals In Schools

There are various different external professionals who work along side a school. This includes educational psychologists -their main aim is to promote learning in an education setting with children who may have emotional issues or social issues. An educational psychologist will take on rolls such as observing children and working along side other agencies and making reports. Making important decisions on intervention to ensure the well being of children within the school and educational setting. Ultimately they are there to advice and make decisions with parents and children to support healthy emotional health to encourage natural educational growth.

This can be done by having the written in the prospectus of the school so for example when parents are looking at taking their child to the school they have a clear idea of the morals of the school and what aims and expectations they may have for your child. Parents can then take decisions on weather they agree with these or not and is it the school they want their child to attend in the long run. Another way of communication could that they are stated in a staff hand book. Its not just pupils and parents that need to no this information staff as well as they lay a big role in the school and should be following the schools aims etc. Staff can read this when ever they like and use it as a guide. Lastly a very good way of promoting such information would be on the schools website, this way anyone can read and be informed of schools aims whenever they like. Its good that the school state this on their website as its a clear way to show people what they stand for and believe
