Well it has been a little while since I have been able to talk to all of you. I have been busy making plans for 2017. The first and biggest of those plans have just recently feel into place. I have finally pulled the trigger, cut ties with LA Fitness and have taken the role of independent trainer. No more being employed by a big box gym, and even though I have no idea where this may ultimately lead me, I could not be happier with my decision. No longer do I have to worry about internal gym politics involving clients and potential clients or being concerned about achieving certain statistical benchmarks. The only benchmark I measure myself to is being able to help everyone achieve their fitness and health goals and making people happier through …show more content…
And by change, I do not mean shifting our political views but by shifting our mindset. The first thing we need to do is realize that we have much more control over our lives than we know. Most of why our lives are the way they are, is because of the choices we have made. Those of us who have a strong internal locus of control believe that we control and influence what happens in our lives. Somewhere along the way, many of us have shifted to an external locus of control state of mind where we believe outside forces are the reason our lives are the way they are. With an external locus of control, those who support Trump believe he is the person who will make their lives great and it is seen as if those who do not support Trump also do not support the personal success of the Trump supporter. The Trump detractors with an external locus of control believes Trump will only make society worse for them and they see supporters as a group who is against their personal growth. The smaller, quieter segment that possess an internal locus of control believe they have the ability to be just as successful in an Obama administration as they do in a Trump administration. Shifting your thinking to an internal locus of control gives you the capability to take control of your life and not have to be concerned with who is sitting in the White
