External influences are factors that impact us, whether it be temporarily or lead to a more permanent change. Of course, these influences can give us positive traits. Events in our lives can influence us to be brave or selfless. The people around us can help us with difficult situations and culture can give us something to fall back on. Nevertheless, negative situations are just as likely to influence us as positive ones.
