It is often easy to attribute the words, hard work with dedication and perseverance with success. What would you associate the word failure with? Failure is what school teaches us to stray from. In school the letter grade F is associated with failing a test. Ultimately, the end goal is to be successful, not a failure. Why is this mentality ingrained in my head? As I have experienced my past three years of highschool, this new mentality of “it’s okay to fail” has become evident. I consistently score poorly on tests and I have not diagnosed the problem. 4 years of school is equal to hundreds of tests. As one could imagine, this greatly affects my academic career.
