Extend School Day

There are reasons that the school board could extend the school day. There are also many reasons why it should not be extended. The school day has eight hours with another hour and a half it would be extended to nine hours. It is true, not many students like school but that is not one of the reasons why the school board should not extend the school day. The reasons that the school board should not extend the school day is because students will not have enough free time, it can be too exhausting for many students, and students need to be in good health.One of the reasons that the school day should not be extended is because students will not have enough free time. If that is the case it can cause them to have to stay up doing homework. This can also cause them to have a little amount of free time or no free time at all. Students can us they hour and half or at least half an hour to have time to relax and feel stress free.The other reason that the school board should not extend the school day is because it can be too exhausting for some students. Considering what would happen if the afternoon got extended, now say that the hour and a half got added to the morning. School starts at eight thirty, the hour and a half gets added then the school day would start at seven. At that time most of the students riding the bus would be waking up and getting ready. They might not get too tired because it is not that early, but if school starts at seven most of them would have to get up way too early. Students waking up at five or six in the morning would get tired during school, this can also cause them to sleep during some of their classes.
