There are a number of different diseases that the settlers brought over with them. Some of the diseases include chickenpox, the flu, smallpox, typhoid and more. For the Aboriginal people, they did not have immunity to these diseases / illnesses and within a few weeks they experienced a rapid decline in numbers.
