After reading this passage, what strikes me most is the idea that God does not ask us to do the extraordinary. Naaman was expecting some miraculous event but was told simply to wash in the river. We are called to simply repent and believe by seeking forgiveness of ours sins. Remembering the cleaning waters of our baptism and by trusting that God will restore our spiritual health. A person may be rich, powerful, successful, but they may be spiritually lost. The first steps toward salvation is to realize your lost spirituality before God.
