Expository Essay: Going To High School

Decent Essays
Going to High School has always been something I have looked forward and since I was in Elementary School. Movies like High School Musical made me hope for the teenager years. Deciding on what High School to attend was a big deal as an 8th graders. Some people decided and all go and the same middle school as a group, others decided and attend and the school they were assigned because of their locations, and others including me have decided to go and a Vocational School.

I decided to attend to Delcastle because I have always been interested in science and I wanted to be in Chem Lab. Going to Delcastle had its downsides. Only a few people from my middle school, Bayard also decided to choose Delcastle. I felt like everybody knew each other

Sometimes all it takes is one significant moment to completely redirect your life. I come from a small town where people live simplistic lives, maintain simplistic wage-earning jobs, and get comprehensive satisfaction from the occasional trips to the nearby amusement park. This life was all I ever knew. I grew up feeling content with how my life was and the thought that I would grow to live like my parents had. For the first time we had to change before gym, no one really sure whether it was more socially acceptable to change in a bathroom stall or feign confidence by doing it out in the open. Talk swirled of who got their periods, who was wearing what bra size, and which boys needed to stop cultivating…
