My hypothesis claimed that if seedlings are exposed to larger wavelengths of light, then their mass will gradually increase because of the greater amount of nutrients reaching the seedlings. The data provided during the experiment proves this hypothesis incorrect. Group D received 150 micrometers of light, which was the greatest amount of light for any group. According to the hypothesis, this plant would grow the most of the six groups. This, however, wasn't the case. In fact, Group D was among the bottom three in terms of growth. Group E received the second least amount of light, but still grew almost two times more than Group D. Moderation seems to be a valid option when growing plants. Group B received the fourth most light, but grew the third most in the end. …show more content…
Compared to Group C, which received twice the light as Group A, Group A grew more than two times more than Group C. This may be due to smaller amounts or receiving the light in a more moderate amount. These results are mostly trustworthy in my opinion. They all have the same important constants. Same amount of water, time in the light, and the same climate. All of these factors affect plant growth, so I don't think there is any reason to not trust the results of this experiment, although there are some errors that stand out. For example, Group A, being left outside, could have had an inconsistent amount of light. Also, it would be important to know how much these seedlings weighed before the experiment, as the size could affect growth. Also, the seedlings' growth could be affected by coming from different plants. We don't know what environment the tomato plant would be in before the seedlings came, so the growth could be affected. Another possible experiment would be to see how fast these seedlings
