1. Explain what “proctoring” means and why the UoPeople requires proctored exams:

Proctoring in UoPeople means taking exams under supervision of an individual that is unbiased. The proctor's role is to make sure that the individual that is taking the exam is in fact the student that participated in the course and no one else. It is also the proctor's responsibility to make sure that the student takes the exam in a legitimate manner, without any outside help other than the material that was allowed during the specific exam. UoPeople requires proctored exam to make sure that the students are not cheating, using outsource help or even letting someone else take the exam for them.
