Exploratory Reflection

Upon entry, I was greeted by the security guard who gave me access to the work site. I met with the Assistant Director, Domingo Espinal, whom was located on the 3rd floor. I informed him that participants will have a mandatory reflection during week six. However, they will not be able to make it so each participants will fill out the refection survey at the work site. I took some time to look around the building and I noticed everything was kept in order. The work site had proper ventilation and adequate lighting. I also noticed the class room and bathroom facility were kept clean. Overall, I was able to conclude that this work site follows DYCD rules and regulations.

The assignment will reflect on the moral, ethical and legal aspects of pre-hospital care that challenged me during this particular emergency. Reflective learners can use their abilities in work placements because they observe people and reflect them in future problems, for example a child is a reflective learner and has seen a person cleaning a wound and placing a plaster on it, the child would reflect this information when it happens again which is why tolerance is needed overall, because tolerance is needed to understand other people’s knowledge and reflect it for example a person is watching how a mother is feeding her child but the child is crying, the important part for a reflective learner is to watch and learn because the mother might make the child cry but it is for a good reason which is why being tolerant can help however if you do not become tolerant you would not be able…

Module 5 Entry: Reflective Thinking In my opinion the most important part of adaptable leadership is going to be the ability to think reflectively. To learn from your mistakes, and look inward for mistakes that you have made and learn from them, while pushing to new horizons. This is important to me, because this course has made it apparent to me that I am not a one size fits all person, literally and figuratively.…

When looking back at this whole semester, I would say that there were a few things that I did learn. Some subjects from the book definitely stood out more than others. A few key things that I can take with myself and be easily remembered. I believe that I have learned quite a few things about myself but more on the subject itself and how to handle certain situations. Taking this class I feel helped me to get a better look on how to deal with other people, learning to react to certain situations, and not everything is in your control.…

When I delivered the teaching session, the experience was an overall success with students showing a clear interest and engaging in the lesson (Table 1, question 10, mean 4.3). The teaching began with a clear introduction to the key learning points for the whole session (Table 1, question 5, mean 4.3), which allowed the students to understand what the session was going to entail. This was beneficial to those who needed to see the big picture to see how topics fit together[1]. I further explained that the session will be split into three sections and explained that certain learning outcomes will be covered in each section. Student feedback stated that there was “enthusiastic teaching in appropriate sized teaching bites.”…

My Action Plan During this semester, I have discovered useful information about myself, and as I move forward, I will be using the various learning tools and skills. However, before deciding how to improve my methods of learning plan, I took the time to review my transcripts/advising worksheet. By doing this, it has helped me determine exactly how many credits I have left, along with the type of classes. Including those, which are not part of my core curriculum. I need forty-nine credits overall, I have eighteen scheduled over the next two semesters, which includes the ones I am taking right now.…

My previous year of schooling was spent at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I was a freshman who was taking her first few steps towards independence. And the reason I chose Calvin was because it was a small, Christian school with a Japanese program. During orientation at Calvin I had felt that I had definitely made the right choice on which college to attend because everything during that time seemed to be focused on God. Yet, as time went on, I realized that while the college campus’ population as awhole was somewhat centered around God, it was not as strongly focused on God.…

When I reflect on this semester and my practicum experience, the first thing that comes to my mind is motivation and drive. This is the first time I have actually felt comfortable enough to want to be in the classroom all day, everyday. This semester opened up my eyes in many different ways, and if anything, made me fall more in love with teaching and working with these students. After this practicum experience, I bring a new gift with me and that is confidence. I feel at easy in front of a group of students and truly feel that if my CT made me get up and help her teach, I could figure it out.…
