Exploitation Of Natural Resources Essay

I chose to talk about resource depletion specially the exploitation of natural resources and the effect this has on public health. First, the exploitation of natural resources has to do with the removal of resources through various means, farming, and cutting down trees, drilling for oil and mining coal. However, it is the methods at which we do these tasks that determine the negative effects that the exploitation of natural resources has on health and wellness.
First, deforestation of rainforests is a major environmental concern that has a negative impact on many individuals. Humans tear down these forests for mass quantities of timber to create commercial items such as paper and to make room for urbanization and housing. These untouched tribes of people face confrontation with humans apart from their isolated world and these altercations are difficult to end peacefully. The individuals cannot be inducted into society for they speak languages that may not even exist in our records. What is more is that their cultures are still in hunter and gatherer formation and the concept of urbanization is impossible to explain to them. Loggers who are clearing out these rainforests have continuously instead of attempting a peaceful resolution burn down their houses and massacre their civilizations with shotguns and urban weapons.
