Human Exploitation is a multi-million-dollar industry, which thrives on enslaving others to satisfy the growing exploitation economy by using exploitation tactics to attract victims. These victims normally develop medical and psychological issues due to their extended exploitation experiences. Human exploitation is a form of modern day slavery that is prevalent and highly profitable globally. Traffickers use many different forms of coercion tactics to attract their victims for the cause, such as violence, threats, and lies. The global exploitation economy is a widespread epidemic that affects numerous nations, law enforcement and citizens. There are numerous countries that attract international and local exploiters on a daily basis. For instance, in Brazil and India the high poverty, unemployment and prostitution rates contribute to the nation’s huge exploitation problem. Brazil’s long-time problem of human sex trafficking has seen an outstanding rise in the past years, with Brazil’s poor economy, many women and children are being forced or given away to help their families, many of whom are trafficked to other countries to work as sex slaves (Shelley, 2010). Many Brazilian women and children, are sold and exploited in domestic prostitution or international trafficking daily. In rare cases, victims that have been trafficked are sometimes forced by their traffickers to engage in illegal criminal acts domestic and internationally. Sex trafficking victims are often trafficked to international locations where there are high demands for sexual pleasures and where there will be a constant flow of money coming in. Human exploiters are smart individuals, whether they are working for an organization on individually, they are sometimes common citizens of a nation that has an issue with poverty and prostitution. By recognizing these flaws they prey on the poor and weak of their own country and decide to take advantage of them and the situation at hand.
