When I first saw the Jabberwocky's song I felt lost. As I started to read I could feel the frustration and by the time I reached the second line I had to stop and look back again in order to try and make sense out of what I had read. The second section was one extremely long explanation, he often said because of this we need to understand this. The entire section appeared to be one paragraph explaining something from the paragraph before, and it would keep going. This made it very hard to determine his second point, since there was no clear objective. All of the information was useful; however, it should have been organized in a more efficient manner. Even if that was true, the points that had been clear were extremely effective.…

Most who witnessed the sitting president of these United States, sing the spiritual hymn Amazing Grace at Mother Emanuel AME church in Charleston, SC, during his eulogy of falling spiritual warrior Rev. Clemmenta Picknecly would probably agree that it was overwhelming. It appeared to stir a feeling of connectively to all who sang along. Including, it is surmised, those around the world that identified with the words, reason and necessity for such a song at that moment in time. How ironic to sing a song, which was penned by a former white slaveholder, who turned abolitionist. And sing it in the state that was the lynchpin of the civil war.…

Fireflies, lightning bugs, photurinae, all one in the same, all of these names are for one insect; the lovely, summer night firefly that children chase around and put in jars for a little lamp. Owl City’s song “Fireflies” describes the idea of a child’s lifelong dream of catching a jar full of fireflies and having a living nightlight, but as we all know the fireflies that are caught end up dying sooner rather than later. This song tells of how so many people just hurry through life and don't take time to appreciate the earth and what it does for us. People who listen to this song tend to be enlightened of how much the population hustles and bustles through life. Owl City tells this with the lyrics “I'd like to make myself believe/That planet…
