High school is like the first half of a football game. It may carry excitement and struggles but the final score has yet to be determined. High school is a little rock that we must not trip on, in order to succeed in life. Some people may say it is the “final preparation before entering the real world”, but I say the real world has already begun. However some high school students are too scared and immature to face it. As a student you must always try the best of your ability to conquer and complete each task. “Nothing is given and everything is fought for in this world” these are some of the words that I will always have on my mind while I face a new life as an independent human with ambitious thoughts of a better life. Whenever I see or hear the word college I get a feeling of excitement and a feeling of frustration. After I graduate high school I would like to see myself attending a prestigious university where people do not care about your race, your tastes, your beliefs, or your values. College will help me find myself, and what I truly believe in. I must be an open minded student in order to have good relationships with everybody on campus, even teachers. College will be a beginning and an end. It will begin a life that will lead me to a new stage of responsibility and a new focus of education. But it’s also hard to end the dependency on my parents and be a complete adult filled with responsibilities and problems of my own. This is just the way it is and if we do not learn how to deal with it we will never have the true independency experience. I have to always remember where I come from and never forget who helped me get where I will be some day. I will stick to my motto you either go for it all or leave everything behind.
