Explain Why Women's Sexual Rights And Orientation Are An Important Part Of Gender Inequality

Women’s sexual rights and orientation are an important part of gender inequality. Women’s rights should include the right to live free from violence, discrimination, and slavery. They should be able to get an education, to own property, to vote and to earn an equal and fair wage. But almost everywhere around the world women are denied these rights because of their gender. A lot of solutions have been proposed to create gender equality between men and women in regards to sexual rights. As Burn mentioned “sexual rights are part of universal human rights, such as the right to privacy, the right to security of the person, and the right to be free from torture and from cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment” (Burn). By enforcing these rights, not only gives women their inalienable rights but it benefits humanity as a whole. It can help tackle the poverty, illiteracy and abuse that have affected nations across the world.
