Coming from my own perspective and opinion, I believe the voting age should stay at 18. I say this because 16 year olds lack the political awareness of most young adults. granted they are learning about political matters and such in school, minors still have some heavy research and logical thinking to apply to the voting scene. If the age were lowered to 16 I believe that minors would just vote to vote and and not have any prior knowledge of what exactly they are voting for. More less bandwagon, majority of people vote for a popular person so the clueless follow. It would end up just pouring countless mindless votes in the picture. Not saying that 16 year olds are unintelligent or not worthy of voting, just that they have not
