The question was proposed on whether or not teens should get paid less than adults. The correct answer is no. For these three reasons; would lowering their wage really increase their employment, it would negatively affect the economy, and there’s enough discrimination. To begin, “…there’s little evidence to suggest businesses would be more likely to hire teens if they could pay them less than adults.” (Watkins 23). It is guessed that if employers could pay teens less, they would hire more of them. But that may not be true, as stated above. Teenagers have restrictions on what they can do and how long they can work, where adults do not.
