There are many easily accessible resources for lots of learning difficulties, e.g, pencil grips, coloured overlays, wobble chairs or fidget toys. The list of helpful resources is endless but using them can help an otherwise isolated and frustrated child access the curriculum as well as any other child. In my workplace we have lots of different outside agencies that regularly come in and run interventions for children that need help for whatever reason. These include Speech and Language and Occupational Therapy, which again can help to fill the gaps in learning. Just as important are the children at the opposite end of the spectrum, the quick learners and the high flyers.
