Rheese Songer Argumititive sample writing I think that schools should not be integrating boys and girls teams for many reasons. One of the reasons that I think that boys and girls teams should not be integrated because of injury. It is common knowledge that in most cases men are physically stronger and heavier than women and this may cause a lot more injuries to women for example let's say a girl decides to play tackle football on an integrated team, she has a lot more of a chance of getting hurt because of how rough the guys are and if she got tackled the men's body weight is more than women's so it would increase the likelihood of the woman being seriously injured. Also girls might get bullied by guys if they are the only girl on a team and that may affect their self esteem in a drastic way. Also scientist have figured out that men have a higher bone density and bone mass than women so that means that woman's bones break easier than men's and that might be a problem if sports such as

In the article titled “Face-Off on the playing Field,” Judith B. Stamper explorers the issue of female athletes competing on traditional boys’ sports teams. First, stamper explains how opponents argue that girls are not aggressive enough. They say that playing contact sports like football and wrestling put girls at risk of serious physical harm. The author also reports that some male athletes are uncomfortable having physical contact with girls. Some boys feel that it is wrong or ungentlemanly to be aggressive toward girls.…

An excerpt from “Girls Suffer Sports Concussions at a Higher Rate Than Boys. Why is that Overlooked?” states that "Girls have smaller, weaker necks than boys making their heads more susceptible to trauma". Women are more likely to get a head injury, therefore, they should have a different standard they have to meet before starting any physical activity again. Athletes already have to be signed off by an athletic trainer or their coach.…

The number of females in varsity sports in university have nearly doubled, compared to the years before Title IX was passed (Strafford). Title IX also created more sport options for females to join because, “If female students are underrepresented in athletics, their interests must be accommodated unless the institution can show continuous expansion of sports programs” (Compton, Compton). Because of the expansion in female sports in sports they are actually interested in, the number of girls in varisty sports have increased…

Should women be allowed to play on male sports teams? I think that women shouldn't be allowed to because of safety requirements, and sexaul harassment which would both be a big issue. First of all, male sports are aggressive and safety would be hard to avoid. They would have a high risk of injury, concussion rates in the last year have rose over 20%.There are many different kinds of injuries you can suffer while playing a male sport like you can overheat and pass out, you can tear your ACL or MCL or you could even overuse your body and strain it. Injuries are very hard to avoid and a male's body is built to take a lot more than a girls so our injury rates would increase if the females joined our team because the males are 30% stronger than females which means we have more muscle to protect us from injury.…

In this day and age those same kids have grown up and women have gain equal rights with men which they deserve. There’s an argument saying that men and women should be playing sports together as well.…

Females should undoubtedly be allowed to play on male sports’ teams. In this world of inequality there are few things we can do to alleviate that. For example, allowing females to play on male sports’ teams would be a great step. This has already been happening around the world, but it’s been causing controversy due to their, the girls, physicality and how fair it is then for the boys in return. If we don’t allow women to play then we can never truly be an equal and free nation.…

Youth sports have been a very popular recreation in America. It allows kids to have the chance to play a sport at a young age. However, many of the kids only play a single sport, and the types of adults that either spectate or coach youth sports are mainly split into two opposing sides. One half helps the kids to succeed in the sport they are playing and let the kid choose if they want to play that sport, and the other half force the child to play a sport that they may not like and gravitate towards the child’s every mistake like a moth to a flame. This can cause many problems for the child and can often be overwhelming.…

An article focusing on injury statistics mentioned that a fewer amount of injuries will transpire in coed athletics as resilient athletes will reduce their speed and aggressiveness towards the reverse sex (Noumen 1). Sports that are coed are engaged at a more leisure rate for males but a swifter rate for females. The pace of coed sports help to implement responsible playing, therefore reducing the injury rate. An article written on the ban of coed games stated, “the Roman Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg in Pennsylvania has adopted a policy requiring boys on its school wrestling team to forfeit matches against female opponents” (Pilon 1). Forcing athletes to resign to diminish the risk of injury is unfair and teaches children to give up; leaving the male to feel superior to females.…
