Why Plastic is Bad Plastic is a bad thing. Plastic harms animals. It also causes pollution.It is not biodegradable.
When we throw away plastic bags, they go to landfills. Plastic can not decompose so it sits in those landfills for thousands of years. It eventually breaks down, but it never breaks down completely.
