The CPC exam is the certified professional coder exam that is 150 questions covering the CPT book, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS book as well as basic medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, guidelines and regulations. Passing this exam and obtaining your certification shows medical facilities and physicians that you have the experienced knowledge to handle claims for them. In order to get this certification you have to become a member of the AAPC which offers this certification. Two years of experience in the field or complete an apprentice program. In order to pass the exam you have to get a score of 70% or higher. As I have been told during orientation at FTC, students who pass their exam with a 90% or higher the school will cover the cost of
