Explain Why I Am Not Practice And Successful In Persuasion

I am not practice and successful in persuasion. As an example, I meet a person in the supermarket who having trouble deciding what products to purchase. I introduce myself and offer suggestion. Through the conversation I was able to build a relationship wherein I was successful in recruiting this person to my team of independent sales associates.
