About 30,000 people that can't protect themselves are killed every year by guns. There is an argument going on about whether or not to ban guns or keep them legal to buy in the United States. Guns should stay legal to buy, because most guns’ people kill other people with are illegal and bought off the black market. So many people's lives would be changed by this if they made guns illegal to buy. It should stay legal to buy and use guns because most guns found in crime scenes are illegally purchased, most guns are used for self-protection, and a majority of the guns bought are used for hunting.

It's estimated that about 30,000 people every year die from gun deaths. A lot of those deaths are from self-defense. Making guns’ illegal wouldn't do anything because people still have them and can buy them illegally. If someone wanted one bad enough they would buy it off the black market. People are wrong, because a lot of people that die are just innocent people that have been just protecting their families and themselves. The reason 30,000 people have died is because all of the police shootings, and all of the people that have been protecting themselves and others from people trying to hurt them. For these people that think guns should be illegal there could be some changes with the way we do the background checks. They need to make them better. Only 3.1 million people were not allowed to buy a gun last year and about 200 million guns were bought. There also should be some laws put down about where people can have a gun and carry a gun in public. If they did some of these things people would view guns a lot safer than what they think of
