It was not an easy beginning. The colonists of Jamestown came in 1607 sent by the Virginia Company to make a profit in the New World. Little did they know how many of them would die in their first few years of colonization. The question is, why did so many colonists die? These are, in my opinion the three most important reasons why Jamestown dug so many graves in its first 4 years.
Although others may not agree, I believe that the number one reason why so many of the colonists died was because of the complications created with the natives in the nearby area. One of these problems was how the natives attacked the unarmed and and unprepared many times, killing a large amount of them. Another problem was the bad relationship between the settlers
