Competitive eating should not be banned because people enjoy it. Also this “sport” has many fans, these fans are fans of famous competitive eaters such as Chestnut and Kobayashi. According to stine “ an estimated 50,000 people were in attend at coney island to watch Chestnut stuff his face.” People join these competitions because they enjoy doing theses contests Competitive eating should not be banned because people make a living off of doing this.
According to McCarry and Braun “The MLE oversees professional Contests,the dole out thousands of dollars every year.” This shows us that people win thousands of dollars by winning a Competitive eating contests. This could last them about a year and when that year is up the next
