America is a place where you are able to go much further if you set your mind to it. In some other countries you are forced into a certain job, and sometimes even paid the same amount as others for more work. America is the land of opportunity because of our freedom of choice that makes it possible for us to do everything we do, day to day. Pros and Cons of American Imperialism America is one of the most powerful nations of the world. Its sheer size, economy, territories, and technological advancements make it so influential that many smaller nations or cultures look up to America as if it were a god. Many decades ago, America established its dominance over other nations, particularly during the two world wars by showing off its military prowess and interfering with what are supposedly local affairs of other governments. Imperialism is more of a negative idea than a positive one – it signifies a nation's thirst for expansion at the expense of others.…

The America I believe in is a country founded upon the basic right of freedom. Although often overlooked by many countries, freedom should be an essential part of any human’s life. I feel that this risk that many considered to be unwise and rash, proved to be a brave and important decision that became an example for many countries who would later go on to declare their independence, such as Afghanistan and Egypt. The Founding Fathers had one thing that will prove to be a key constituent in many historical events: they had hope.…

We can vote for our president, pick the job and career that we want, get a good education and say the Pledge of Allegiance. You choose how to live your life and which path to take, while at other countries you are forced what job you will have and what you will do for a living, but you have no say in that decision.
