A: To me, professionalism means a few different important aspects, appearance, attitude, ethic and accountability/reliability. Working at Jaguar Land Rover Seattle is the perfect example. Our appearance was vital as it helps show the company. Jaguar/Land Rover is a very high-end car company so remaining well dressed, tight and clean cut meant a lot. The proper attitude to have is being driven and show that you’re knowledgeable in the field while showing positivity. During tense situations it’s important to remain calm, listen to the other person and take in their opinion. If it’s with a current project you’re working on then remain calm, assess the situation and over come the problem. Another part of this is being a team player. It’s definitely key to work well with others and never be a part of any disputes. Having an ethical behavior at all times should be a given. Don’t violate any misconducts, work hard, work smart, work well with others and be an overall positive influence on your peers. Lastly, it’s very important to be accountable and reliable. In a work setting I love being the one others go to. Showing up on time mentally and physically is a must if you’re being professional. If you made a mistake, then own up to it and never point fingers.

How would you define exemplary client service?
A: Exemplary customer service entails being remembered by the client, in the best way possible. Listening to the client with their wants and needs should be shown during interaction and never make them feel like they’re not being listened to. Proper client service shows you’re willing to go out of your way for the client to make them feel special as if you’re helping out a friend. Finding cues to relate to the client also helps in this process as long as you remain professional.
