Canada is home to 36 million people. But what does it mean to be Canadian? Being Canadian means being free, enjoying the diversity of our amazing country in terms of the people and geography, and being compassionate to everybody.
Being free means being Canadian. The ability to speak when you want, and to stand up for what you believe in. The pleasure to be able to visit your neighbors no matter their race, and to sleep peacefully at night not worrying that your home will be gone in the morning. For all those reasons I am very blessed and happy to live in the country of Canada. Also, being free means doing whatever that makes you feel happy and comfortable. It is made of immigrants from everywhere in the world. Being Canadian brings joy to celebrate everybody’s culture and religions. Not everybody is the same. Everyone in Canada has a story and all the stories are different. I don’t think any other nation in the world has as much diversity as Canada. Living in Canada and being a Canadian citizen is a very fun and unique experience. Everyday we welcome immigrants with helpful hands to help them succeed in their future Canadian life. Not only is Canada special with it’s diversity Canada is also special of it’s beautiful natural geography. I don’t think any other citizens of other countries can say they have 243,000 km of coastline and the largest source of freshwater in the world, coming from the Great Lakes.
