What is the best style of leadership for a new sergeant?
The best style of leadership in my opinion is to be fair, firm and consistent. What goes for one goes for all (being fair). Always be strong in your decision and apply the appropriate consequences (being firm). Always have the same working attitude when at work, don’t be happy one day and the next be cut throat with you subordinates (being consistent). Never ask for others to complete a task knowing that you yourself would never agree to complete that assignment.
