Explain Ways To Reduce The Risk Of Loss Of Income

Decent Essays
If an organisations system shuts down they can lose a large amount of income. This is because when the system shuts down, nothing can be done on the system for example, no orders can be accepted. Due to all these issues the organisation will most likely lose new customers that have never used the software before, lose profits and get a bad reputation. When installing or upgrading new software there is medium change of all these issues occurring as it is quite hard to shut down the whole system, but if it does happen it will have a severe impact on the organisation. It would also cost the organisation a lot of money and time fixing all the issues. There are many ways the risk of loss of income can be minimised. First of all before any type of installation or upgrades everything should be put onto a backup, because if anything does go wrong, the files can be replaced using the backup and it would save the organisation a lot of time. Creating a backup file is quick and easy, you can also choose exactly what you want it to save.

It is very important to have a current and accurate data backup plan for emergency situations. Losing all of your data or maybe even just some of it could have dire consequences for the company. These consequences could be in the form of compliance infractions and come with steep fines all the way to laws suits for loosing customer data or classified information. Having the ability to restore this data if it is ever destroyed or compromised could save our company from losing all credibility and going bankrupt. Having a good data backup plan ensures that we will be able to restore our company in a disaster to an acceptable state of operation without losing much if any information necessary to keep our customers happy and business running…

Personally, I believe that it is Gardiners best plan of action. Going into an expansion into social media is a tricky endeavor and by going into it slower will give the company the time to train employees on the addition of social media. It also allows the company to use their stock to accommodate the purchases coming in from the customers online. This will also give them time to either purchase a system to update and monitor the system or to hire a specialist that will maintain the server for Gardiners. There are risks to only updating the system at night because the company may sell an item not in stock to a customer because they are not monitoring it all day and night.…
