Three major dilemmas facing American workers today due to cheap computing and cheap telecommunications are the outsourcing of IT jobs to foreign countries, the outsourcing of factories to foreign countries, and the automation of many jobs in the United States. Many jobs that were once found in the United States’ IT industry have been moved overseas because workers in other countries can be paid less and because telecommunications are cheap enough to make it feasible.
