3) The proposed funding mechanisms of the NHI include increase in direct taxation which is increase in income tax as well as inheritance tax. Another mechanism is indirect taxation which is due on taxes levied on transactions as well as goods and services no matter the size of the business. Payroll taxation is another way of potential revenue sources for NHI. This includes taxation on employer and employee contributions.
