The five important school and statutory framework that directly impact on the teaching assistant work with pupil are :

1. Supporting inclusion : the teaching assistant are employed with specific responsibilities to work with individuals pupil. The role of the teaching assistant is to support inclusion by facilitating participation and learning and helping to build confidence, self-esteem an independence to pupil.

2. Equality of opportunity: the teaching assistant must ensuring pupil is equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.

3. Anti- discrimination : the teaching assistant should not discriminate against any individual such as gender, religion or social background.

4. Confidentiality: the teaching assistant must follow school
