As a social worker with children and families, it is usually easy to know when there are difficulties within the families you are working with or a break down within the family. It might be difficult to know the background to this relationship but as a social worker, you need to be aware of the impact of this breakdown on the children.
There are various possible difficulties and causes which involves sexual difficulty, financial, poor/no communication, heavy drinking, infidelity, violence and different expectations.
All the above are seen to affect children and this may result in these children reacting in various ways which could be disruptive behaviour in and out of home, children taking sides, resenting what’s happening, becoming fearful
