In this task I will explain the concepts of equality, diversity and rights in relation of health and social care.

Equality
This is ensure the important to treat people with equal rights, and opportunities. The law states that every organisation must have an equal opportunities policy that can be seen by all employee. This is to make sure that everyone in the organisation is not treated differently, has the same choices and opportunities. Equality is also a legal frame work to protect against discrimination, promoting equality of opportunity and foster good relations between people with protected characteristics, e.g. age, disability, race, sex, sex orientation, religion and belief should be valued as an individual and not be treated less

To ensure that individual has privacy when receiving personal care by closing curtains and aid doors as appropriate.
The right to be allowed privacy
All individual treatment and care should be kept private, no information should be passed to people who have no right to access it and dignity should be maintained throughout any procedures that is necessary. Although privacy is not easy to arrange in a busy hospital or care centre, but it should be achieved with thought and care. The right to be protected from danger and harm
It is important for everyone working or using the health and social care sector must have the right to be kept safe from danger and harm. There should be a health and safety policy in all setting that states all the actions, rules and regulations that must be followed to keep all those using the service and staff safe and healthy.
