Explain Potential Barriers To Professional Development

There are several potential barriers to professional development, these include the following areas
• Budget constraints, there is increasing pressure regarding funding for training and professional development and within my organisation this has proved an issue where training needs to be signed off at several levels and once the budget limit is reached it ends.
• Lack of internal and external opportunities for career development. The specific field that I work in has an abundance of skilled workers who have been at the same level for a long time and this can be a potential barrier for the development of newer workers especially those who have come into the field later in live with fewer qualifications
• Finding good quality service relevant
