I believe everyone's goal is to be successful in life. In order to be successful in this course you have to read the information given to you. Having the syllabus and knowing all of the requirements and policies will help guide you throughout the course. one of the most important parts of the syllabus is the attendance policy. The attendance policy is important because without you being present in class, there's no way the other things listed on the syllabus would work out. If your attendance wasn’t important, I don’t think being dropped from a course after missing five or more credit hours would be a rule at Forsyth tech. Another thing that’s also important on the syllabus is the materials. Most college courses like English 111 require different text books and access codes for the course. Without most of these materials you won't be able to complete your work and be successful in the course. …show more content…
After you’ve got all your materials show up to class on time every day. Its important that you have some type of planner or organizer so you can keep up with your assignments. You should be checking black board regularly for assignments that are due and for announcements. Dates on assignments and new announcements could appear at any time. Make sure to complete all of your tasks on time because there's no makeup or late work accepted. You should always be studying and reading ahead to prepare for the next class. Lastly keep in contact with your teachers and ask questions. There's contact information available in multiple ways if you ever need

After the hard and dedication, I put into English 101, I received the grade I was expecting. An obstacle I had to recently over come during this semester of college was that I had a personal conflict with myself. I suddenly lost my motivation to do my work when it was assigned and I started missing class when I hadn’t missed a single class up until that point of confliction. I didn’t see a need to do the work when it wasn’t due for another couple days ahead, so I saved it till the very last day and I would stress and regret my decision because I was in a rush to do it. I didn’t even bother to learn from my mistakes I just continued to do it and my grades could have been better if I stayed motivated.…

I took two classes for the summer of 2016, but the Interpersonal Communication class had me worried the most. I had a training with the army, and that required me to absence from school for two weeks. Unlike my other class, I didn’t have a chance to work ahead of the class with the instructor for the two weeks that I would be missing. Therefore, I was worried that I wouldn’t catch up with my classmates and end up failing the class. However, Ms. Anna was generous and extended the assignment due date for me; she even gave me an extra-credit assignment to replace the credits that I missed during my two weeks in training.…
