Christians believe that God created the heaven and the earth. All truth is God’s truth. However, various kinds of philosophies affect the society today, especially in the curriculum. Progressivism teaches young people that there is no authority. It tells people that they learn from the nature and individual experience. Humanism teaches people that they are the center of the society. Christianity leads people to know God and the great creation. Therefore, Bible must be the foundation and context of a Christian approach to the curriculum, such as science, history, and music. The Bible is the foundation and context of the curriculum of science. God declares in Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” Everything is created by Him. History is the subject to record events and what happens to mankind. In other words, learning history promotes people to learn from the past. People learn God’s grace to Israelites from the Old Testament. They also learn Jesus’ love to all ones in the world from the New Testament. Unfortunately, public schools refuse to mention the biblical revelation in their history textbooks. They use history to admire mankind themselves. They focus on praising people’s willingness, wisdom, and abilities. Public schools also teach students to emphasize on the wrong values in teaching history. Their focus is that the world is normal.
