How responsible were you in your teenage years? The first time I cooked was when I was 15 years old and my sisters were 19 and three years old, respectively. I was at home with my three year old sister watching a cartoon, it was during summer. My 19 year old sister took summer classes in college to complete all the college requirements. So one day when my younger sister and I were watching a cartoon, and suddenly my mom called and said, “Your sister will be late today, so I need you to cook for the dinner”, I was nervous and scared because, I never cooked before since I have an older sister who knew how to cook properly. I always wanted to cook when I was younger, but since I was young who did not really paid attention closely and was very …show more content…
The kitchen was so dirty after I started cooking, I was embarrassed of myself. Even guys do not make messes as much as I did that day. I was cleaning when my older sister walked in, at five o'clock, right away I told her what happened, I told her the truth and begged her not to tell mom what actually happened otherwise she would kill me. She said that she will not, and told me to clean up the kitchen and started cooking herself, and I was a mentor again because I am a person that is not responsible enough to cook. So, I first cleaned the stove because, the stove was the most dirtiest, then the walls around the stove, after the pot and the wooden spoon that almost burned. Thank God I finished cleaning by the time my mom was home, so she did not see all that mess. I still got yelled at again in person for ruining the pot and the wooden spoon that is used daily, which later on became my favorite - it is very
