Explain How Ms. X Helped You Change

Decent Essays
The teacher I am going to be writing about helped me improve a lot and helped me mature. I am now going to tell you how Ms. X helped me improve and helped me mature. Ms.X helped me improve a lot because she taught us all to respect each other and that if someone is doing something wrong then to stop them from doing it because they don't deserve the respect. She also would be really nice to you if you were nice to her or if you treated her with respect. She also went over a subject before we did anything on it so we knew exactly what to do and she knew how to do it so we could do it on are own. She would always be happy to see people or at least be nice to them even on a bad day and she would still great them with a smile and say good morning.

Growing up with foreign parents Irving Berlin once said, “Life is 10 percent of what you make it, and 90 percent how you take it.” I believe many people help others in hopes they take that experience and use it to become greater. Tuesday, September 11, 2001, a date that will forever be a part of history, a tragedy that shook the world. I recall going back to school the following week, an 11 year old Muslim 7th grader ready to start her day. Boy was it difficult. Writing has proven to be a very serious struggle in my academic journey as a whole. I struggle with naturally choosing to write how I speak, and in an academic setting this proves to be very harmful to my grade. This un-academic style of writing cause me to make a 2 on the AP English exam when, if I would have simply taken my time and chosen to write more scholarly, I could have scored a far better grade on the exam and certainly would have been able to exempt English 1101. It is something I know I struggle with, yet I continue to do it. Furthermore, I believe enrolling in Professor Misty Soles English 1101 class truly helped shape my writing to a more collegiate standard.…

My parents never gave me siblings, however, that does not mean that I grew up in a lonely house, that I celebrated my birthdays with no laughs around me, and that I never had somebody to listen to my dreams, my sorrows, and my yearnings. Destiny itself decided to never give me a sister—well, a biological sister to be more specific. But as I grew up in my grandma’s big house, where there were more rooms than people living in it, I shared it the space with another person, my cousin, whose name it is too terribly complicated to write onto paper. I am aware of my ambiguity here, so I will explain further.…
