Your feelings, attitude, conditioning, and economics play a big part in our day to day lives. Like most people I'm sure my emotions and mood play a big part in what or how I decide to eat on a day to day basis. If I feel happy or I'm in a good mood I could probably eat all day long on top of eating probably anything yummy that catches my eye at that moment. Otherwise when I become stressed, tired, or I am feeling blue I tend to eat next to nothing and this can go on for days unfortunately. My mood really effects how and what I eat and how much I consume. I am not a big eater to begin with and I never really was. I never have time to eat breakfast either so my belly rumbles so loud at work most of my coworkers find it pretty entertaining. Over the last year I have been watching everything I eat and switched my diet to much healthier options. I love salads, whole grain bread, yogurt, protein shakes and especially fruits and veggies. I noticed by even changing how I ate it changed my overall moods into good ones more than ones of being cranky, hungry, and just unhappy with making bad choices on what I consumed. When I ate foods that were high in fat and sugar I noticed it had an opposite reaction on how I felt. I felt horrible not better because I was only adding to the problems I was already dissatisfied with. How you feel plays a major role in how and what you eat every day. Economics also plays another big role in how we eat. “The cost of food and the ability of an individual to afford specific foods (related to income) are primary determinants of food choice" (Health Knowledge, 2011).
