D1/D2/A1/A*2 For the theme Children and young peoples development I will be focusing on how different factors can effect a child's social and emotional development. I have chosen two key issues to talk about regarding children's development. The two key issues I will be discussing are how family structure can effect children's social and emotional development and how day care can effect children's social and emotional development. I have chosen these two key issues to talk about as I feel that they are vital factors than can have effects on children's social and emotional development in positive and negative ways. I feel family structure is a important factor in a child's social and emotional development as children who are from bigger families are more confident in social situations, however coming from a large family can also have negative effects on a child's social and emotional development. For example if there were a large number of children in a family some children may not get enough attention from their parents, this could cause them to be shy and not very confident when starting an educational setting or being part of a large number of people or children. Day care can have its positives and negatives and can effect children in different ways. Day care can improve a child's social and emotional development as they are socialising with more children from a young age and becoming more independent, this can benefit them when they go into a school setting. "I have sent all 3 of my children to Acorns Day Nursery and I cannot recommend them enough. My children have thrived in the supportive and caring environment provided by the exceptional staff at Nursery.
